First Climb : Mt. Batulao in Batangas

Finally. Unang bundok : Mt. Batulao sa Batangas.

Left my car sa bahay here in QC. Took the bus hanggang EDSA Taft, then sa may station ng taft-MRT, merong sakayan ng bus pa-Nasugbu. Almost 3 hours atang nagbyahe until I reached the babaan - Evercrest, alam na ng drivers / konduktor yun. From Evercrest, tricycle hanggang jump off - P100. Wow, first 10 minutes pa lang ng paglalakad I was thinking of giving up na! (Maybe because galing inuman, dumirecho kaming akyat ng bundok as in walang tulog - except sa byahe papuntang Batangas) As in super hingal ako, my friend na first time ding umakyat ng bundok, effortless! And to think before we started hiking I asked him pa kung kaya niya, kasi kung hindi we could back out pa. Started hiking : 9:40am. Arrived at the campsite (peak 8) : 11:30am. Not bad. Hehehe!

Rest pagdating ng peak 8. Don't ask me na about the food, kasi I barely ate habang nandun kami. When we felt na ready na ulit kami to make akyat (with my tent na na-pitch na, and our bags inside - peak 8) sa summit - peak 10, we started climbing na with two newfound friends there hehehe - Jana and Jopoy. It took us 30 minutes pa to reach the summit. We didn't enjoy the summit that much because katirikan ng araw. Hehehe!

When it was time to go home, kasabay na namin ang bago naming friends bumaba ng bundok. And the travel time pababa was much faster - and easier. Mga 1 hour and 30 minutes na lang hehehe. Tinext ko na the tricycle driver that brought us there sa jump off, and bumalik na ulit kami sa hi-way - sa Evercrest.

Nakakapagod. Pero fulfilling. At iba ang pakiramdam eh, parang nakahinga ako from all my stress. And I realized, I will do this again. With or without that man who encouraged me to do this.

Evercrest, this is where you'll ride a tricycle na. Kung trip niyong magpagod agad, pwedeng maglakad hanggang sa jump off.  KAPAGOD lang talaga!
Well, let's not waste time!

Few minutes after arriving at the campsite, ngarag! Hulas! Sunog!
Pictorial time, habang nag-iipon ng energy pa-akyat sa summit!

Now, time to climb hanggang sa summit!

The Summit.

With my friend Randy, and our new mountaineer friends : Jopoy and Jana.
Parang kelangan atang maghalo-halo pagkababa, or before umakyat - sa jump off hehehe. Para complete experience.
